The cabinet on this iPhone

A mark

The iPhone may ask before an advertising identifier is read. Allowing that question lets the identifier leave the phone. It is used for tracking and for analytics, so installs of this cabinet can be counted apart from one another. It is not kept with a name. A night's bids and lot cards are not written into it. Declining leaves that identifier unread. The choice can be changed later in Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.

An install number

One number in the keychain, and the vendor identifier, also leave the phone. They are device identifiers, not a name. They let this cabinet recognize the phone after The Gavel is installed again. The keychain number can remain after the app is deleted and put back.

Stays here

Lots, bids, the collection, the ledger, and the house rules stay in the app on this iPhone. Deleting The Gavel removes them. The keychain number can remain after a later install of this same app.

Not collected

Name, phone number, email address, contacts, photos, and precise location are not collected. There is no account.

Children

The Gavel is not made for children.
